DIY: WHITE WASH TABLE

 What I used:

Sand Paper

Grey Paint

White Paint

Paint Brush (2x)

Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Durable Gloss Finish

Step 1. Sand your table entire table (legs included).

Step 2. Mix your paint. I used a 50/50 ratio of grey and white paint and then mixed them together in a paint tray.

Step 3. Wipe your table off with a cloth to get rid of the saw dust.

Step 4. Start painting your table in slow smooth strokes. Start at one end and continue your brush stroke all the way to the other end of the table. Remember to follow the grain in the table for the best results.

*If you're going for a grainy effect then one coat should do it. I decided to give my table a second coat for a more finished look.

Step 5. Once you're finished painting you're ready for your top coat. I used Martha Stewart Multi-Surface Durable Gloss Finish. Apply the gloss just as you did the paint (follow the grain).

Step 6. After 1-2 hours apply a second coat.

Step 7. Enjoy your new table and chairs! For more on how to white wash a chair click here.

Just for fun... here's the before photo one more time.
